Cystitis is a bacterial infection of the bladder. Symptoms includes stabbing or pricking sensation around the entrance of the bladder and burning or stinging sensation when passing urine. There is a feeling of urgency. If a man or child has symptoms of cystitis they should consult a doctor. So should a woman in whom symptoms persists after trying over the counter products.
Patients with cystitis should increase their fluid intake to help flush out the infection from the bladder.
