Warts and verrucas are viral infections. Warts affect the hands, feet and anogenital areas, whereas verrucas are confined to the feet.
Warts have a clearly defined borders and are irregular in shape.They have a rough surface. There may be black spots in the middle which are dead blood vessels. Treatment usually takes a long time.
Verrucas are planter warts affecting the feet. They grow into the sole of the foot and can be painful on walking.
Again treatment takes a long time.
